Newcastle is home to a small gay and lesbian LGBT scene and Newcastle has an increasing gay community, which is concentrated at the far west of Newcastle city. Known as the 'Pink Triangle', the Newcastle gay scene features an increasingly number of popular gay and lesbian bars, clubs and gay-friendly hotels. Other attractions at Newcastle's Pride on the Tyne Festival include concerts; gay cabaret acts, sporting events, street theatre and dance.
